Volunteers in Police Service Program (VIPS)
The Volunteers In Police Service (VIPS) Program is being created helps to continue with our agency’s unwavering commitment in fostering a spirit of cooperation and partnership with the community to enhance the Evesham Township Police Department’s ability to serve the Township of Evesham. Volunteers are going to be an integral part of our organization and will prove to be a valuable asset by increasing police responsiveness, service delivery, and information input. In addition, volunteers bring new skills and expertise to the department and serve as positive police ambassadors within the community. The program provides community members with an extension of our other highly effective and successful departmental community policing programs, such as Citizens Police Academy, Neighborhood Watch, Police Explorer Programs etc.. ETPD firmly believes that effective community policing entails well established partnerships and programs, efforts to address social disorder, and solve problems, with an ultimate goal of tackling crime and make communities safer.
