Captain Gorman graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology.  She then graduated from the Camden County Police Academy's Alternate Route Program and was hired by the Evesham Township Police Department on February 22, 2005.  Since that time, she has served in the Patrol Bureau, Office of Professional Standards Bureau, Training Bureau, Investigative Bureau, Internal Affairs Bureau and now oversees the Administrative Division.  Captain Gorman participated in the Department’s original, secondary and most recent pursuits and attainments of National Accreditation status.  She was the agency's first Wellness Committee Coordinator and currently serves on the Wellness Committee.  She is a trained New Jersey Master Resiliency Officer and serves on the Burlington County Mult-Agency Police Peer Support Team (MAPPS-BC) as the Team Coordinator.  Captain Gorman was the first female assigned to the agency's former Special Response Team (SRT) and became the first female in the department's history to attain the rank of Sergeant, Lieutenant and now Captain.  She is currently assigned to the role of Administrative Division Commander which oversees the Training Bureau, Support Services Bureau, the accreditation program and the internal affairs function.  Captain Gorman is a graduate of the New Jersey State Chiefs of Police Command and Leadership Program.  At home, Erin is a proud wife and mother of three children.
