The Evesham Police Department is investigating a suspicious person and possible luring of a child that occurred at 6:45 AM on October 9 th, 2006. An 11 year old girl was waiting alone for a school bus in the area of Brandywine Drive and Conestoga Drive in the Township. A black four door sedan with unknown New Jersey license plates approached her bus stop. The vehicle driver and only occupant rolled down the passenger side window and said “Hey little girl, can you help me find my dog. The girl ignored the man which prompted him to say “I’m not trying to kidnap you”. Several other children then arrived at the bus stop and the man fled the area.

The suspicious person is described as a black male approximately 30 years old, short scruffy beard, wearing a black baseball cap. The vehicle is described as a black 4 door medium sized sedan with tinted windows. The girl described the car as being clean and in good condition with no visible damage. A green tree air freshener was also hanging from the rear view mirror.
