The Evesham Police Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of police officer.

Minimum Qualifications(Candidates must meet all minimum qualification to apply)

Satisfactory completion of police academy training with certification from the New Jersey Police Training Commission (Basic Police Officer).

**Candidates eligible for a waiver of training from the New Jersey Police Training Commission may apply.

Minimum 60 college credits or 2 years active duty military or Coast Guard service with honorable discharge.
At least 18 but not more than 35 years of age (Per state statute)
Valid New Jersey driver’s license.
No criminal background. All successful candidates must pass a comprehensive background investigation which includes a fingerprint check, medical and psychological examinations and a drug test by urinalysis. A negative result for the drug test by urinalysis is a condition of employment. A positive result for the drug test by urinalysis will result in the candidate being dropped from consideration, cause the applicant’s name to be reported to the central drug registry maintained by the Division of State Police and preclude the applicant from consideration for future law enforcement employment for a period of two years. Candidates employed by another law enforcement agency who produce a positive drug test will have the results reported to their employer and are subject to termination and will be permanently barred from future law enforcement employment in New Jersey.

Starting salary of $ 42,495.
